What is a Care Group?? What are they all about??A Care Group is a collection of about forty-to-fifty members of our congregation who are assigned to two or more Deacons. The Deacons attempt to keep in touch with theses members to learn of any special needs these folks may have. It may be a ride to church for those who are shut in, or a hot meal when someone returns from the hospital. Or, it may be as simple as cheerful hello on the Courtyard Sunday morning. The Care Groups are, quiet simply, a way to build our sense of community here at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Care Group members might also receive a few phone calls during the year from your Deacon to let you know about some of the many things going on here at church and to check in to see how you are doing. The next one should be before Easter. The better we know each other, the better we can share God's love and serve one another. Your Deacons try to wear their green name badges each Sunday. You can find out which Care Group you belong to by checking the church directory. The Deacons are listed in every Sunday Order of Worship along with their Care Group. We are always happy to get to meet folks we don't yet know. Please feel free to say, "Hi" when you see us. We would love to get to know you!
