Questions for Reflection - "Where is Your Faith?"

Luke 8:22–25; Proverbs 3:1–10

1. Define "faith" and give some examples. What does Pastor Thompson mean when he says that "faith always leaves a vapor trail"?
2. Take a look at Proverbs 3:1-10. What is the basis for "trust"?
3. What do the disciples know about Jesus by the time they set sail?
4. Why do the disciples panic? What is implied by their statement (notice this is not a question) to Jesus that "We are perishing!"?
5. What does Jesus' address to the elements imply?
6. Think about times when you were in crisis. Where did your faith "go"?
7. What does Jesus want his followers to know about him? Why? How does the Lord's Table express this?
8. What helps all your vapor trails to head toward this Table?
