Questions for Reflection - "Where is Your Faith?"
Luke 8:22–25; Proverbs 3:1–10
- Define "faith" and give some examples. What does Pastor Thompson mean when he says that "faith always leaves a vapor trail"?
- Take a look at Proverbs 3:1-10. What is the basis for "trust"?
- What do the disciples know about Jesus by the time they set sail?
- Why do the disciples panic? What is implied by their statement (notice this is not a question) to Jesus that "We are perishing!"?
- What does Jesus' address to the elements imply?
- Think about times when you were in crisis. Where did your faith "go"?
- What does Jesus want his followers to know about him? Why? How does the Lord's Table express this?
- What helps all your vapor trails to head toward this Table?
