An alternative worship gathering for all ages where we lift up Jesus as our centerpiece, spend time in scripture, pray together, are inspired to live out God's purpose for our lives, and celebrate rich church and liturgical history in a new way. We gather every Sunday morning at 11:15am in the Fellowship Center but make sure to come early to have coffee and get to know us on the courtyard and in classes.
There are many opportunities to participate and serve. Join our welcome team, become an usher, teach Sunday School, play in the band, set up, or assist in worship. If you are interested please contact us at 818.889.1491 Ext. 128.
Infant and Toddler Care is available every Sunday during every service in the room adjacent to the sanctuary for children up to three years of age. For more information contact Valerie Consolo at 818.889.1491 ext. 139.
Children ages five through fifth grade are invited to stay in worship until led to Sunday School. Children in fourth grade and older are encouraged to stay in worship. We include a short children's sermon where children are invited to come forward before being led to Sunday School. Sunday School is an opportunity for children to learn more about God's Word in a fun, encouraging, & relevant way.
Studies prove that middle school and high school students who participate in inter-generational worship are much more likely to continue their faith after high school. This is one of the many reasons why worship is our most important opportunity for adolescents. Youth are encouraged not just to attend but to be involved in every way. They are greeters, ushers, Sunday School teachers, band members, worship assistants, technical support and more. Middle school students meet in small groups every week before worship and high school students have youth group every week in the evening. For more information about Student Ministries contact Paula Kissell at 818.889.1491 ext. 150.
Westminster Presbyterian Church was founded in 1968. The contemporary worship has been one of two or three Sunday worship gatherings since it began in 2005. The traditional service is held in the sanctuary every Sunday morning at 9:30am. In all services we observe liturgical seasons and holidays such as Advent, Lent, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter. We also observe sacraments such as communion on the first Sunday of every month and baptism periodically. We are a member of the Presbyterian Church USA denomination.
